Q3: My religious organization is holding an event which benefits the community. How do we get pre-approval for that event?
A3: Any organization or event not preapproved on our website must be authorized by community service at communityservice.scv@gmail.com. Prior to the event please send an email asking for pre-approval along with the following information: name of organization, dates, description of activity, estimated number of hours to complete activity, link to any associated website and whether or not we can open the activity for fellow students to participate.
Q4: Once I have signed up for community service what do I need to take with me to the activity? Who signs the forms? Where do I turn them in?
A4: Print out the community service time sheet 2016-2017 from the school website to take with you to your service activity. Please note that each child should have his/her own form. We suggest making a copy for your records at home. Once this is completed, submit the forms to your child’s teacher.
